This pattern is for a gorgeous, textured beanie featuring alternating sections of shells and back loop single crochet, with a snug knit-look ribbed brim. This hat is sweet and trendy, yet subtle and classic enough to match any outfit, and would make a great go-to winter hat!

This is an original design, using US crochet terms. You may not copy, distribute or sell this pattern as your own design, but feel free to sell finished hats made from this pattern!

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner (Requires knowledge of sl st, sc, dc, and working in the back loop only). Pattern is written using US crochet terminology.

Size: One size fits most. Hat brim measures approximately 15” around (stretches to over 24”) and just over 1” wide. Finished hat measures approximately 9.5-10.5” long.

Materials: A total of approximately 200 yards light worsted weight yarn. Beige example uses Hobby Lobby I Love This Wool in Biscuit, and pink example uses Lion Brand Wool Ease in Blossom. Aran weight yarn is not recommended for this hat, as it could cause the hat to turn out too large.

Tools:
-Hook: Size H/8 (5mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.
-Yarn needle
-Tape measure
