This top uses contrasting minis against a tonal in a simple design with a big result! This top is fine yarn at a larger than usual gauge so it’s lovely for spring through autumn. Use one color, a mini or gradient mini set, or leftover yarns on your stripes, stripe throughout or just as I have.

Finished Size:
Chest: 3236, 40, 44, 48, 52 inches
Length: 1313.5, 14, 15, 15.5, 16 inches from cast on to underarm

Yarn: Chaos Fiber Co. Tonal Deluxe, 75/25 Superwash Merino/Nylon; 460 yards per 100 grams 2(2, 2, 2, 3, 3,) skeins and a small amount (perhaps 1 ounce) of contrast yarn; I used Black Cat for the main color and six assorted colors of minis for my contrast color.

Needles: US Size 4/3.5mm circular needle, 24 inches or longer (larger sizes may prefer a longer needle) and your preferred method to knit small circumferences in the round. Or size to make gauge. Each knitter is different! Knit and wet-block a swatch in the round.

Gauge: 20 stitches/24 rows per 4” in blocked stockinette stitch.

Notions
Stitch markers (removable)
Waste yarn or stitch holders
Yarn needle to weave ends

Note: This top is worked in the round from the hem to the underarms. Front and back are then worked separately to the shoulders. Shoulder stitches are seamed; sleeves picked up and knit down to desired length (no seaming!). Stitches are then picked up at the neck to finish the edge.
