I designed this pattern on a whim with no plan going in. I just cast on for a beanie and started knitting. I was out running errands when I found myself with some down time — I decided it was the perfect time to learn how to cable without a cable needle!

That simple ambition led to the design of this beanie. Watching the way the stitches twisted and curved without the use of a cable needle was one of the most satisfying moments in this whole crafting adventure. It only made sense that I named this creation the Repertoire beanie after adding the skill of cabling without a cable needle to my own repertoire.
