She’s beauty, she’s grace, she’s covered in elegant lace. Featuring a vintage inspired silhouette, the Reprieve Pullover is elegance incarnate. Timeless lace decorates the yoke, while a rounded v-neckline draws attention to the décolleté. The body of the pullover balloons gently at the waist, while the ribbing splits at the center front and hugs the hips. This pattern comes with instructions for a cardigan or a pullover. Both look the same, but the pullover has a faux button band and its body is worked in the round.

Construction:
Worked top down seamlessly. Start with the back, working short rows to shape the shoulders, and shaping the armholes. Smaller sizes will decrease, and larger sizes work increases. Pick up stitches for each front, working short rows to shape the shoulder, increases to shape the neckline, and work armhole shaping like the back.

Pullover: CO stitches to join the fronts, finish the armhole shaping, and then join in the round by CO stitches for the underarms. Work the body in the round to the hem. The hem is worked flat. Work a double knit button band along the right front and neckline, as well as short piece along the left front hem.

Cardigan: CO stitches at the underarms to join the fronts to the back, and work the body and hem flat. Stitches are picked up along the right front, neckline, and left front, to work a double knit button band.

The sleeves are worked the same way for both versions. Stitches are picked up around the armholes, and a short row sleeve cap is worked. Sizes 1-8 work a small underarm gusset. All sizes then work decreases to gently taper the sleeves to the cuff.

Sizing:
I recommend choosing a size according to your upper chest measurement, or the one that will fit your shoulders best. The pullover’s shoulders are meant to drop 3” / 7.5 cm past the shoulder.

Pattern comes in 10 sizes, which are intended to fit a 31” to 60.25” / 77.5 cm to 150.5 cm upper chest measurement and a 30” to 66” / 75 cm to 165 cm full bust measurement.

Finished garment bust circumference:

35.75”, 40.25”, 44, (47.75”, 51.75”, 56.25”) {60”, 63.75”, 67.75”, 72.25”} / 89 cm, 100.5 cm, 110 cm, (119.5 cm, 129 cm, 140.5 cm) {150 cm, 159.5 cm, 169 cm, 180.5 cm}

Meant to be worn with 6” / 15 cm of positive ease at the full bust. If between sizes, size down. The pattern includes optional vertical bust darts that add width to just the front.

Sample is size 2, with 1.5” / 4 cm vertical and horizontal bust darts, worn with ~6” / 15 cm of positive ease.

Please see the size chart and schematic in the photos for additional garment measurements. The first 4 rows are the body measurements each size is intended to fit. A-F are finished garment measurements. Pay special attention to C the cross shoulder measurement, it should be ~6” / 15 cm wider than your actual cross shoulder measurement.

As with all my size inclusive garment patterns, you can use the code ANTIFATTAX to get 20% off the pattern, intended for sizes 6-10 to help combat the extra costs incurred by knitting larger sizes.
