Resize Soft Sweater
A not too long loosely fitted sweater in 1960’s style with voluminous edges of a Hexagon Pattern. The sweater, worked in a top-down raglan construction, can be adapted in both width and length during knitting for a good fit. All sizes start alike, and by checking the gauge a second time on the yoke, you can follow the size that gives the desired circumference, with the yoke working like a big additional swatch. The recommended ease is approx. 20-25 cm (8-10”) positive ease, work the sweater in your preferred circumference (or take a measurement of your favorite sweater of the same thickness). To enhance the fit, the front is wider than the back, the difference is increased in the larger sizes.
The sweater is initiated at the top yoke with the first rows worked back and forth across back and sleeves with increases on the front (no short rows), the sweater is continued in the round. All edges, including the neckband, are worked at the end.
