RESOLVED: Bust That Stash!

Resolution Mobius is a fun stashbuster, specifically designed for those odds and ends of gorgeous yarns that have accumulated over the years, extra skeins and balls from other projects, or irresistible purchases with no end use in mind.

Make it your way! The Resolution Mobius pattern includes directions for the mobius (as photographed), an infinity loop (no twist), or a traditional scarf of any length.

Yarn and Finishing Options

The sample as shown was made from two colors of Lorna’s Laces Haymarket (100% Bluefaced Leicester wool) — one 100-gram, 215-yard skein of each color.

The pattern may be easily adapted to any yarn and needle size. Using one solid or semi-solid color and one variegated color (with short runs of each color) will produce an effect similar to the mobius in the photograph.

Finish the mobius or infinity loop with a Kitchener stitch, a three-needle bind-off, or a seam (if a provisional cast-on is not desired).

The knit and purl stitch pattern features a 4-row repeat over an even number of stitches, and is identical on both sides.

The gauge and needle size for the Resolution Mobius will depend upon the yarns chosen. The gauge of the version pictured is approximately 5 sts = 1” on a #9 needle.

Written pattern includes instructions for:

  • Adapting for other yarns
  • Finishing with the Kitchener stitch
  • Finishing with a three-needle bind-off
  • Carrying yarn up the side
