I need a vacation. I need to hop on a highway headed away from the city, turn onto a long, winding road up a mountain to the middle of nowhere. There, I will sit and knit. The muscles in my shoulders will relax, and my heartbeat will slow because I’m not thinking about work, or interpersonal obligations, or tiny little errands I’m putting off when I really could be checking them off my list before more tiny little errands get added and become overwhelming BUT… I’m not thinking about that. I’m fuelling the little introvert inside of me with happy thoughts, and knits and purls, and giving her the energy to be strong, and passionate, and kind.

Maybe I can’t actually have that vacation getaway, but for a few moments each day, I can sit and knit cable socks. And that’s pretty good too.

There are 3 sizes included in the pattern.
