Retro Cowichan
The Retro Cowichan pattern consists of charts, written instructions, and video references for specific parts (including the full chart).
The Retro Cowichan is worked bottom-up in flat pieces — two front panels, one back panel, and two sleeves — which are sewn together at the end. The knitting order is not fixed.
The collar is picked up and knitted last from the right side of the back panel, using German short rows to shape the slope.
Finish by sewing on the buttons.
The Retro Cowichan is designed for an oversized fit. Choose a size with about 30 cm (12 in) of positive ease from your actual chest circumference.
It is recommended to compare the finished measurements with your favorite outerwear for reference when selecting your size.
