I just love brioche! The feel of it, the look of it, working it - just everything about it.

The band of the hat is worked first, with a reversible cable seated in a seed stitch background. Completed, it is then seamed and stitches are picked up around the edge for the brioche hat and crown. Basic brioche stitch is worked to the crown, where brioche decreases are used to form the crown.

It is a great way to work a quick, easy brioche project. The fact that it is reversible only makes it better. One skein of each color will allow you to switch the colors and make 2 hats. The band can be adjusted in size, but you will need to pick up the same number of stitches to make the brioche decreases work out.
