This scarf is a beautiful, reversible cabled scarf. Many cabled scarves will add a border of garter stitch so that they edges are flat. For this particular scarf, I decided to leave the edging off and have a much more structural, braided edging. The cabling is also reversible, achieving the same pattern on the front and the back. This pattern also has owls in the center of the scarf, and this design can be enhanced by adding buttons or beads for the eyes.

I knitted this with two skeins of Fiberstory CORE DK, but on a size 9 needle. CORE DK happens to knit very nicely at a worsted weight, which is the recommended weight for this scarf.

This pattern includes sizes for a 65” scarf, 65” eternity scarf and a 32” cowl.
