Double knitted fabric is warm and reversible so it’s an ideal technique for knitting a cowl. Both sides of the knitting are worked at the same time and the yarn is moved backwards and forwards as you knit the two different layers.

Yarn
Vivacious DK (100% merino wool), 230m/251yds per 100g skein, in the following shades:
Yarn A: Copper Tones (802); 1 skein
Yarn B: Sea Glass (826); 1 skein

Needles and Accessories
Pair of 4mm (US 6/UK 8) needles or size needed
to achieve correct tension
10 (16) stitch markers (optional)

Size 1: A short, high cowl
Size 2: A long, shallow cowl to wear long or loop over twice
