After I made the beautiful Chrysantheme shawl for myself, I decided that I really wanted a coordinating headband to match. Even using small needles, the Chrysantheme flowers were much to big for a headband, so I decided to design my own floral headband to not necessarily match, but coordinate with the shawl.

The headband is double knit and reversible. One side, as I knitted it, is black with pink flowers. The other side is pink with black flowers. The double knit is quite warm, perfect to wear in cold weather. The flower pattern is quite different from the shawl, but knit in the same colorway to coordinate. I was quite pleased with how it turned out. The headband looks great with the shawl, but can also be worn on it’s own.

The chart used for the pattern is in black and white and may be appropriate for those with colorblindness.
