Materials Needed:

• ~100 yds. Worsted Weight (4) yarn of your choice (I used Bernat Satin in Mai Tai)
• Crochet Hook Size H/8 (5.0 mm)
• Stitch Marker
• Tapestry Needle
• Scissors

Gauge:

• 7 fpdc = ~ 2 inches

Stitches Needed:

Chain (ch): Insert hook through loop, yarn over, pull yarn through loop, one chain made

Slip Stitch (sl st): Insert hook through loop, yarn over, pull yarn through both loops on hook

Single Crochet (sc): Insert hook through top 2 loops of stitch, yarn over, pull yarn through loop (2 loops on hook) yarn over, pull yarn through both loops on hook

Single Crochet Back Loop Only (sc BLO): Insert hook through back loop, yarn over, pull yarn through loop, (2 loops on hook) yarn over, pull yarn through both loops on hook

Half Double Crochet (hdc): Yarn over, insert hook through top 2 loops of stitch, yarn over, pull yarn through loops, (3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull yarn through all three loops on hook

Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc): Yarn over, insert hook from front to back to the right of the post of the stitch you are making the fpdc around, insert hook from back to front to the left of the post of the stitch you are making the fpdc around (the post should not be on top of your hook), yarn over, pull yarn through (3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over pull through last 2 loops

Notes:

• To make the mittens longer, add more rows after round 2
• There is no differentiation between the right and left mitten, make two mittens following the pattern below
• When working in rounds, use a stitch marker to keep track of your first stitch, do not sl st last st to first st
at the end of each row (this prevents a seam from showing in your project)
