This is my second fully reversible cable blanket pattern. These cables are known as “Hugs and Kisses”, because they look like long lines of XOXO.

I called my blanket ‘Kiss and Cuddle’ and it is beautiful, covered in hugs and kisses on both sides.

If you know standard cables, you will find these are not any more difficult to work, but a lot more satisfying in the result, as you see the magic appear on both sides, which is a lovely feature for a blanket, as both sides are often visible at the same time.
It looks great in both pink as well as blue or a natural colour yarn, making it perfect for both boys and girls.

The pattern uses Worsted Weight( 10 ply, Aran) Yarn and 6 mm (US 10) needles and comes in three sizes.
It also includes tips on how to make the blanket any size you like.

Materials:
Worsted Weight Yarn: I used Lion Brand Heartlands
About 450 (750, 1050)g, amounts will vary, depending on your choice. I advise to get an extra
ball or two, just in case.
Tension/ Gauge: 16 sts and 22 rows make 10 cm or 4” square, in stockinette stitch.
Knitting needles: 6 mm (US 10) It is a flat knit project, but I advise to use a long circular needle,
to accommodate the stitches more easily.
Cable needle or short DPN
