Thick, cozy cables look and feel great in this scarf… and these cables are reversible! Offset odd and even cables lend flexibility and a luxurious softness to the finished product. This scarf is wide enough to warm you from shoulders to chin and long enough to wrap once or twice, leaving tasselled ends to tuck into the collar of a coat or add a bit of fun over a sweater.

Pattern instructions are given in four parts: overview, single colour scarf, dual or multicolour scarf, and fringe. Shorthand patterns are inset for quick reference. You’ll find tool tips throughout, as well as the theory behind the practice.

Happy knitting!

PS: Four balls of yarn were used for the scarf pictured here: three blue and one purple. This scarf can be knit all in one colour, with or without tassles … or use up all of those beautiful single skeins in your stash for a luscious multicoloured scarf!
