Reversible Puffin Cowl
The Reversible Puffin Cowl was inspired by a ball of leftover sock wool in colours reminiscent of a puffin’s beak. I decided to line it - and include a joyful message in the lining: Living my Best Life, also in puffin-beak shades (officially known as Opal 4-ply Showbiz sock yarn 11396 – Theater).
It is a colourwork cowl worked in the round using a 3-ply/superfine/fingering weight yarn. I used Holst Garn Supersoft to go with the sock yarn. It has 3 colours per round in the main part of the pattern.
You will need 3 colours - around 30 g/ 175 m/ 190 yards/ of each shade.
I used a 2.25 mm / US size 1 / UK 13 circular needle.
The finished cowl is 20 cm (7.5 inches) tall and 52 cm (20 inches) in circumference - but very easy to adapt if you want to make it bigger!
