The Reversible Squares Baby Blanket is everyone’s favorite!
It is easy enough for a new knitter, but interesting enough for experienced knitters, too.

Pattern has been revised (5/29/21) to include instructions for both Chunky Weight and Worsted Weight versions of this cozy little baby blanket.
It is completely reversible, and knit in alternating squares of stockinette and reverse stockinette stitch, with a garter stitch border on all sides.

Finished measurements are 22” x 27”.

The Chunky Weight version is knit at a gauge of 3.5 sts per inch.
Materials include 400 yds chunky weight yarn, size 10 circular needles (24-32” length), locking ring stitch markers, and a tapestry needle.

The Worsted Weight version is knit at a gauge of 4.5 sts per inch.
Materials include 475 yds worsted weight yarn, size 8 circular needles (24-32” length), locking ring stitch markers, and a tapestry needle.

Required skills include casting on, knitting, purling, reading your stitches (this is just a fancy way of saying you should know the difference between knits and purls) and binding off.

Pattern is clearly written, and sure to be a favorite!
Please post photos of your finished blanket, and all of the beautiful babies enjoying them!
