This light, lacy cowl and matching mitts are just enough to chase away the chill. A quick knit in a luxury yarn, they are a perfect gift!

SIZES: Cowl - Finished measurements: 18” circumference x 7½“ high.
Mitts: S (M) - Finished measurements: 6½ (7½)” circumference x 7½“ long.

YARN: 225 (240) yds DK weight wool or wool blend.
Cowl: 132 yds. Mitts: 93 (108) yds.
Shown in Magpie Fibers Swanky DK (80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 250yds/115g): Nightrain.

NEEDLES: U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) 16” circular needle. Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.

OTHER: Stitch marker, tapestry needle.

GAUGE: 20 sts/31 rows = 4” in stockinette.
Lace (11 sts) = 2” wide.

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced beginner. Techniques include knitting flat and in the round, decreases, yarnovers, and seaming.

CONSTRUCTION: Cowl - knit in the round.
Mitts - knit flat and partially seamed, leaving opening for thumb.
