Sometimes inspiration strikes from the most surprising places. The colourwork pattern used in this cowl comes from a house in the game Overwatch. Set in a fictional version of Venice, this house has a beautiful tile pattern that lends itself perfectly for knitting. While I don’t even enjoy playing the game, it is a lot of fun to watch and has wonderful graphics. So what can a knitter do but adapt it into something to keep yourself warm?
This pattern is so addictive, I also put in onto a sock and a hat pattern!

Materials:

approx. 140m of MC yarn (beige)
approx. 40m of CC1 yarn (blue)
approx. 40m of CC2 yarn (orange)
3.25mm 40 cm circular needle or size needed to get gauge
tapestry needle

Size:

Circumference: 44cm
Height: 22cm

This will result in a close fitting cowl. Feel free to add repeats or work at a looser gauge for a wider cowl. Be aware that this will require more yarn than estimated in this pattern. Row gauge is not important, but will influence the height of the cowl. It can also be lengthened by adding partial repeats of both charts.

The colourwork is fully charted, with additional written instructions for the rib and for finishing.
