This pattern makes a fairly stretchy hat. The large size easily fits those with huge craniums. I recommend using a stretchy cast on. I used the “knitting on” cast on method. This is a one skein project, but uses the whole skein. I made the set with the large hat and had about 10 yards to spare. Results may vary.
