The Ribbed Pompom scarf takes 3 skeins of Lion Brand’s Touch of Alpaca, an easy care worsted weight yarn with just enough alpaca fiber for a beautiful halo effect. The scarf itself takes just over 2 skeins; the 2 large, thick pompoms take the bigger part of a skein to make. The size of the scarf is easily customizable.

The scarf is made with only 3 stitches - chain, half double crochet, and single crochet. It’s worked lengthwise, and the rib texture is created by working half double crochet stitches in the back loop only. The ends of the scarf are gathered and a pompom attached to each end. This pattern works up quickly.
