A women’s yoked cardigan with colourwork detail at collar and cuffs, knitted in baa ram ewe Dovestone DK with detail in baa ram ewe Titus or Dovestone DK, sizes XS-3XL.

Inspired by the Ribblehead viaduct on the Settle and Carlisle railway running through the Yorkshire Dales, colourwork detail at the collar and cuffs using two strands of Titus to create a gradient echoes the view of the landscape framed in the arches of the viaduct. An alternative option to work the contrast colour in a single shade of Dovestone is also offered. Instructions for doing the colourwork in a modified slipped stitch technique are given, which avoids the knitter having to carry two colours in a wrong side row.

Sizes XS (S, M, L, 2XL, 3XL) to fit bust 28-30 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46, 48-50, 52-54) inches, worn with approximately 0-2” positive ease.

The cardigan uses 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 7) hanks of MC, shown in Coal, and for CC either 2 mini skeins of each of 3 colours of Titus (Rhubarb, Chevin and Lotherton) or 1 skein of Dovestone dk.

You will also need a 4mm/US 6 circular needle, 80cm/32” long, and 4mm dpns (if you do not wish to use magic loop for the sleeves); stitch markers, scrap yarn and 10 (10, 10, 11, 11, 11, 11) 12mm/0.5” buttons.

The Landmark Collection features seven designs all inspired by Yorkshire landmarks. See the rest of the collection here.
