This simple beanie has an undulating contemporary texture without any complicated knitting so is perfect for a quick project.

It is pretty easy to make and suitable for either a girl or boy; just pick their favourite colour. The wide knit and purl stripes naturally concertina and can be collapsed or stretched out to give different looks. It hugs the head closely and the crown decreases to a hexagon giving a beehive feel.
