PLEASE NOTE: Make sure you are working from the most recent version of the pattern. There have been some errata corrected.

I love knitting with self-striping yarn, so I’m always looking for a pattern that works well with it. This pattern adapts a pretty Japanese lace stitch pattern and applies it to my favorite version of toe-up sock.

This pattern has detailed instructions on how to knit a complete pair of socks, including a generic short row heel. I have also included tips, instructions and blank charts to help you adapt any stitch pattern and apply it to your own favorite toe-up sock!

This pattern is geared toward knitters with some experience in knitting and fitting socks.

NOTE: This pattern is complete without purchasing the additional heel pattern, but I highly recommend that you purchase the pattern for Fish Lips Kiss Heel by Sox Therapist to use with this pattern. It is my favorite short row heel by far, and the pattern has a ton of tips for knitting socks that fit.
