Rich Earth is a luxurious versatile vest with a wide front scarf extension that slips behind the neck to form an ample shawl or can be worn draped in front or even fastened on one shoulder. It even forms a hood or twists in front for a scarf.

The piece is knit from the underarm, worked across the back to the front extensions in one shaped rectangle in two lace stitches, one a chevron rib (back) and the other a vining lace (front).

This piece is knit side-to-side that enables real-person sizing as you work. The sizes provided fit sizes 10-16 and many body shapes. No gage is needed here and the piece encourages stash-busting by using multiple yarn weights and textures.

Though this design is sold separately for $10, there are 3 designs in the E-Book including a crossover vest and a top, available for $20. See the Earth Lights EBook for details.
