When I was asked to reverse engineer a family stocking to welcome a new bride into the family, I was honored. I received the original stocking from the MIL and through many calculations produced this reproduction. I am sharing the pattern so that when there are more additions to the family, stockings can be created with a bit more ease.

I used Wool of the Andes Worsted Weight Yarn in White (9 g), Grass (Green; 35 g) and Red (35 g) for this project.

I tried to follow the construction of the original stocking as much as possible. The top of the stocking is knit flat with intarsia and then is joined in the round for the foot.

Note than Jenn’s stocking is the one knit from this pattern, Andy’s is the original.
