This is a pattern for a turtleneck scarf that’s made using a sport weight yarn. However, the turtleneck aspect of the scarf keeps you warm on even the coldest days. The rick rack and cable stitches used in this scarf are both charted and written out line by line. There is also an optional crocheted edging (instructions for which are included in the pattern). The ornately cabled section of the scarf is nicely complimented by the rick rack on the sides of the scarf that frame the cable. If you love both cabling and twisting stitches, this is a fun scarf to both make and wear. There are also instructions for how to twist stitches using two different methods, contained within the pattern.

Skill Level (for scarf): Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cabling and twisting stitches.)

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport in the colorway, Mirth.

The scarf was expertly pattern tested by Janet Register, who can be contacted at: janetregister@hotmail.com.
