Ricurvare is worked sideways, using short rows for shaping and creation of the pattern. Offset lines and leaves alternate around the Hat in a distinct and intriguing pattern. Worked in DK weight yarn the Hat can easily be adjusted for a range of sizes by changing needle size, gauge or yarn.

Hat Description
Ricurvare is a sideways knit gently slouchy Hat. It uses short-row colourwork to create a motif of organic forms and lines within one panel, which is then repeated all around the Hat. It’s worked in garter stitch throughout and has a smooth crown.

DK weight, single or plied yarn; tonal or high contrast solid, semi-solid or variegated yarns.

Pattern Notes
Sizing in this pattern is achieved through gauge. The sideways nature of this design creates a great deal of stretch, so do consider the negative ease. Changes in gauge or yarn weight will mean a change in the size of the Hat.
