The inspiration for the sweater comes from the Sami culture along the coast and fjords. The Sami people living by the sea traditionally engaged in fishing and animal husbandry as their primary means of livelihood.

In 1991, the indigenous festival Riddu Riđđu was organized in Kåfjord for the first time. The festival has highlighted Sami culture and identity along the coast, through music and cultural contributions.

Therefore, on the yoke of the sweater, you find a fish, and the turquoise base color reminds me of a warm summer day on a beach somewhere in the Porsangerfjord.
