This pattern makes a wonderful hat! It is so stretchy, you can just about forget it being crocheted when you wear it! I have several because I keep loosing them, my husband has one he wears quite often that is super warm because I made it with two strands instead of one, and my son has a long one that he loves with a pom pom on top!
They work up quick and are comfortable to wear. I’ve even wrapped my hands up in one like a mitt during a late night chicken-check in the snow. This pattern makes a truly versatile and useful hat! If you are like me, you won’t be able to stop making them!
I’ve included instructions on a variation of the hat as well that makes the ribbing show only on one side (the brown and white hat pictured) for a change of pace or for those who prefer their hats that way.
