The Ridges Mittens are worked in the round from the cuff down. It uses the same ribbing pattern as the eponym Ridges Pullover.
It starts with a 1/1 half-twisted rib pattern before working the end in a mix of 1/1 half-twisted rib and 3/1 twisted rib. After increases for the thumb are done, sts are put on hold, and the hand is worked until the desired length is reached. It ends on a 1/1 half-twisted rib. Cast-off uses the Italian Bind-off method.
The thumb is worked in the round, in 1/1 half-twisted Rib, and ends with an Italian bind-off.
The Italian Bind-off is snugglier and has a structured finish.
If you’d like more elasticity, please use the stretchy cast-off method of your liking.
