Riento is the Finnish word for a night out or going somewhere fun. The Riento pattern comes in two versions: you can either work the sleeveless version or the short sleeved t-shirt version. The sleeveless top can also be worn as a vest.

The Riento top and tee are knitted seamlessly from the top down with wavy lace patterns and textural seed stitch. The back and front are knitted flat down to the armholes. Then the pieces are joined and the body is knitted in the round. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and the tee has short row shaping for the sleeve caps. Lastly, stitches are picked up from the neck edge and worked in the round. All techniques are explained in the pattern.
