Rigg Bag
A free version is also available.
A super simple crochet bag… my favourite kind of crochet!
I’ve always dreamt of designing a simple crochet bag to carry my knitting or crochet projects in and, when my Purl &Jane Yorkshire yarn, Skipton Swaledale, came back from the spinners in 2016, I knew it was the perfect yarn for this idea. It has a lovely robust texture, ideal for a hard-wearing bag. Skipton Swaledale had limited availability and is now no longer available, but there are lots of other yarns to choose from – each bringing their own unique qualities to the finished piece.
I’ve since crocheted another in Jacobs Aran, and even made a colourful version in Kilcarra Tweed. They’re quite addictive!
CONSTRUCTION
Two pieces – main piece and strap, knitted flat in rows then folded in half with side seams joined to strap.
