Rikke Twist Sweater

Rikke Twist Sweater is another beautiful design in the Rikke series – a classic, timeless sweater with bold cables that give it an elegant, luxurious look. Its generous fit, with approx. 20–25 cm / 7¾–9¾ in of positive ease, creates a relaxed, feminine and modern silhouette. Rikke (pictured) has a chest measurement of 97 cm / 38¼ in and wears size L, giving her 23 cm / 9 in of positive ease.

Rikke Twist Sweater builds on the simple, timeless style of the Rikke series, adding bold cables for a look that is both classic and modern. See the entire collection here.

The sweater can be knitted in three yarn combinations, each giving it a distinctive look – from Önling No 1 + Önling No 10 resulting in an exceptionally luxurious sweater, to Önling No 4 + Önling No 10 resulting in a smoother, more classic fabric, to Önling No 20 + Önling No 10 resulting in a more rustic look with plenty of character.

The yarn quantities cover both the turtleneck and folded neckband options.

Gauge 18 sts and 22 rows in pattern on needle size 5 mm / US 8 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches

Procedure
The sweater is worked from the top down in a cabled rib pattern. First, the back is worked flat, with short rows to shape the shoulders. Sts are then picked up and knitted for each front, and increases shape the neckline. The fronts are joined with new sts at centre front and worked flat to the bottom of the armholes. The front and back are then joined, and the body is worked in the round and finished with ribbing. Sleeve sts are picked up and knitted around the armholes. The sleeves are worked straight in the round, with a decrease rnd before the ribbed cuffs. The ribbed neckline can be worked as a folded neckband or a turtleneck.
