Evelyn A. Clark’s softly draped cowl offers an elegant way to
surround yourself with a little luxury. Beginning at the neck with
a scalloped leaf lace edging and ending at the shoulders with a
picot bind-off, a sequence of three stitch patterns based on a tenstitch
repeat makes it easy to add or remove repeats to customize
the circumference. Cleverly placed increases gradually expand the
main pattern to produce flare at the lower edge. This is an excellent
project for a precious single skein of luxury yarn, like the cashmere
shown here.
