The Riprap Top is a large rectangle with a ribbed edging along the square armholes—no need for separate sleeves. It’s worked from the bottom up in the round to the underarms and then the front and back are worked flat. The allover-lace stitch pattern is easy to memorize.

Yarn Berroco Ultra Alpaca Light (50% alpaca, 50% wool; 144 yd 132 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #42190 Sweet Nectar Mix, 7 (8, 10, 11) skeins.

Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm): 16” and 47” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Marker (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
