Riptide Mitts are fingerless textured mitts featuring a simple lace and broken rib stitch patterns used in the Riptide Slipover and Cowl designs. They are fun and quick to knit and are great for using up that left over yarn. Worked from the cuff-up in the round, these mitts are available in three sizes - small, medium and large.

Needles & Notions

  • Needle A (gauge needle): Size 3.75mm / US 5 circular needle, 80cm / 32” length (or size needed to obtain gauge) to knit the mitt body.
  • Needle B: Size 3.5mm / US 4 circular needle, 80cm / 32” (or 0.25mm / 1 US size smaller than gauge-size needle) for cuff and rib.
  • Needle C: Size 3.25mm / US 3 circular needle, 80cm / 32” (or 0.5mm / 2 US sizes smaller than gauge-size needle) for tubular cast on and setup rows.

If not using magic loop then a set of double pointed needles will be required for each size.
Smooth waste yarn for holding live sts.
Tapestry/Darning needle
Stitch markers: 7 (3 unique).

GAUGE
