A hat inspired by the “Riscadilho” pattern, traditionally used in clothing west of Portugal. Also inspired by the wool itself (texture, touch and natural colors), i immediately figured out a striped pattern. The hem - “rainha de bicos”- traditionally used in socks. It’s a simple project, easy to knit, inspired by the land, my friendships created in Leiria and my working with wool. This hat was made by invitation from hiwool project. Hiwool project is a network for heritage and innovation for the future of wool.
