After much trial and error I have embraced the simplicity, functionality and genuine joy of knitting socks toe up. This pattern has mirrored toe increases, a short row heel and a stretchy bind off. It’s perfect for the beginner and seasoned knitter alike.

Sock Construction:
Toe up, shorty length, round toe, stockinette (stocking stitch) foot and leg, shadow wrap short row heel, 2x2 rib cuff.

Sizes:
Small (Medium and Large)
Approximate foot circumference: 7in/17cm (8in/20cm) (9 in/23cm)

Yarn: Fingering weight

Needles: US 1 (2.25mm) or size needed to obtain the gauge.

Gauge (Tension): 32 stitches and 40 rounds per 4in/10cm in stockinette (stocking stitch)
