Ristinummi-rose is named after its discovery place Ristinummi, Finland. Its origins are unknown, but most likely the rose is from Russia.

The pattern is written for magic loop, but can easily be modified for double pointed needles. Needle A refers to instep stitches and needle B to sole stitches.

The pattern is mirrored, so make sure you knit both right and left foot instructions.

The sample sock was knitted toe up, on cuff down version the pattern is upside down due the nature of lace knitting.
