This pattern was designed to showcase the amazing array of color combinations in Ewetopia’s Helix yarn. Available in both Sport and DK weight, Helix is a self-striping yarn dyed in the wool and then spun at Ewetopia’s mill in La Farge, WI.

Experiment with color play! The sample was intentionally knit to have a gradient effect in both the green and blue – from lighter to darker beginning at the corners and meeting in the middle. To do this, I divided the skein into two balls according to color. Be creative with your Helix by using the colors in different ways – stripes, gradients, ombrés, fades, etc… Have fun!

Gauge is not critical. Knit from corner to corner, you can keep increasing until it’s your preferred size or you have used half of your yarn. This simple bandana pattern could be knit in garter stitch if you prefer!
