River Bend is inspired by the location ‘River Bend’ along the Pearl River on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Mississippi. Pearl River was named in the 1600’s after French explorers found pearls in freshwater mussels along the river and shore.

The picot edging is incorporated into the pattern as you go, it is not part of the bind off. The pattern is a fairly “quick knit” and could be done in a couple of days - making a great item to knit if you needed a gift or just wanting to quickly accomplish something.
