River headband / Elvebånd
The word “elv” is a Norwegian word for river. It was what I had in mind when creating this headband, the rivers makes beautiful braided patterns
This is a very thick and warm headband, and can be knitted any yarn with a gauge of 30 - 34 stitches pr 10cm/4 in

Depending on the size of the headband, the amount of yarn used in this pattern will be approximatley:

child size and up to 52 cm: 50 g /165 meters
Adult size: 50g - 100g / 165- 250 meters

It is knitted back and forth on the needles, and later braided up.

The pattern has a photo tutorial to describe the steps of the braiding.
