The Riverbed Scarf features a simple cable rib stitch. The pattern is a 4-row repeat.

The scarf is knit flat from the bottom up with two strands of yarn held together – DK-weight merino wool and lace-weight mohair.

The first and last 3 stitches form an i-cord edging, which makes the edges look neat and prevents them from curling.

The bottom and top borders are worked in 2×2 rib stitch.
