I named this piece the “Road of Life” shawl because each section reminded me of life; some areas are rough + rocky and some areas are smooth + seamless. The ruffle reminds me of the icing on the cake; things like ice-cream, laughter, hugs + friendship. This asymmetrical shawl is easy to knit and has enough stockinette and garter stitch to help get you into a meditative, rhythmic flow state.
