Roadtrip Socks
:::ENG:::
The Roadtrips Socks are inspired by the long drives through New England and the Northeast with my friend Serenova, and watching the scenery and the roads pass you by from the passenger seat.
These socks are knit toe up with a German short row heel. It uses a design of 1x1 cables and slipped stitches that are mirrored between socks, just like the roads are mirrored on your way there and back again.
Both written and charted instructions are provided.
Sizes
1 (2,3,4) corresponding to 6’’ (7’’,8’’,9’’)/15(18,20,23)cm final circumference of the sock.
A negative ease of 1’’-1.5’’/2.5-4 cm of your foot circumference is suggested.
Gauge
32 sts and 48 rows in 4’’/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round, after blocking.
Yarn
220-330 yd/200-300m
Sample is knit in Cornish Rex Sock (75% BFL and 25% nylon) from Serenova Crafts in the colorway Peony Pink, in size 3 and with a total foot length of 8.5’’/21.5cm. It used 270m/330yd.
I recommend you use a yarn that has some nylon content so the sock is more resistant to wear.
