The Roanoke Railyard Shawl is a shoulder wrap that uses a modified, top-down, triangle construction. Instead of increasing only at the center spine and tab edges, each railroad added is treated like a new increase spine, to give the shawl built in shoulder shaping.

Outside of these Railroad details, the shawl is knit almost entirely in stockinette stitch, making it wonderful for showing off your favorite color-ways, and makes it quite a meditative and cozy knit.

The shawl as show in the sample pictures is knit with almost 2 full skeins of Kelbourne Woolens Scout, in the Autumn Heather color-way, but you can continues the last repeat of the pattern with additional skeins to keep adding length if you want a longer version.
