This tank showcases a highly variegated linen yarn for the front and back diamond panels, with a more subtly variegated version of the yarn used for the body and straps. The body is worked down with regular increases, which give it an A-line shape. Instructions for two different lengths are given: hip length as shown, and tunic length (approximately 5”/12.5 cm longer). The drape and texture of this linen yarn benefit from machine washing and drying.

SKILL LEVEL
Easy to intermediate: Skills include working
in the round, picking up stitches, knitted
cast-on, and three-needle bind-off. See
Techniques section beginning on page 146
for photo tutorials on picking up stitches and
knitted cast-on.

Shown in hip length in
size S with +1 1/4”/3 cm ease. Intended to fit with -1 1/2”/4 cm to +1 1/2”/4 cm ease at bust.

PATTERN NOTES
• Front and back diamonds are worked first, in
the round.
• Stitches for front and back are picked up from
bottom edges of diamonds and worked down;
short rows shape front and back to diamonds.
• After front and back are joined at underarms,
body is worked down in the round.
• Stitches for straps are then picked up from
top edges of diamonds and worked up.

CUSTOMIZING FIT
Both hip and tunic length instructions are
included. In addition, body length can easily be
customized further: since body is worked down,
the garment can be tried on when partially
completed, to check length.
