Inspired by Fair Isle designs from 3me spent in Shetland and the southern rockhoppers keeping meentertained during fieldwork in the Falkland Islands, this cowl brings together the woolly northern isles with the woolly south.

Note that this is a charted pattern only.

Yarn
You’ll need a main colour and two contrast colours in fingering weight yarn. I used:
MC: BC Garn Bio Shetland GOTS in Dark Grey
CC: BC Garn Bio Shetland GOTS in Light Grey
CC: Uradale Yarns Organic Native Shetland Jumper Weight in Tormentil Heath

I chose yellow as the contrast colour in the borders to reflect the fabulous yellow plumes of the penguins.

I managed to get a second cowl out of the Bio yarn by swapping the main and contrast colours around.
