The Rocky Trails Hat is a ribbed beanie. It is knit in the round from the bottom up with DK-weight merino wool. The hat is knit in 2×2 rib and has a folded brim.

The Long-tail tubular cast-on is used for this hat, but you can use the standard Long-tail cast-on.

The crown decreases are done gradually.
